Do’s & Don’ts for Artists

Do’s:

1. Always carry a government identity card to the venue of the Host.

2. Always negotiate and decide the professional fee to be charged by you for your performance beforehand. The Pool does not take any responsibility with regard to the non-payment or lesser payment of fee by the Host.

3. Always decide on the terms of engagement with the Host over an email or on whatsapp in writing. The timings, duration of the performance and other terms are to be mutually decided between the Host and the Artist.

4. Always maintain a professional attitude during the time of your engagement by the Host.

Don’ts:

1. Do not visit the venue of the Host in an inebriated state.

2. Do not engage in any immoral activity during the term of your engagement with the Host.

3. Do not use unprofessional language and do not indulge in any kind of obscenity at the venue of the Host.

4. Do not extend/alter your performance without prior discussion and mutual understanding with the Host.

Do’s & Don’ts for Host

Do’s:

1. Always ensure the safety of the Artist at the venue.

2. Always ensure that the Artist is compensated/paid as per the timeline agreed upon between you and the Artist.

3. Always ask the Artist to identify himself/herself before allowing him/her into your function. The Pool does not take any responsibility for any impersonation by a person and the resultant loss which you may incur.

4. Always ensure that in case if a female Artist is engaged by you and the timings for her performance exceed 11:30 PM, then it shall be your responsibility to drop her at her home/airport/railway station/bus stand (as the case may be).

Don’ts:

1. Do not subject the Artist to any kind of mental or physical harassment by you or your guests.

2. Do not change the date and timing of the performance of an Artist without his/her consentin advance.

3. Do not make payment of professional fee to the Artist without verifying the details of the concerned Artist. The Pool assumes no responsibility for any kind of monetary loss you may incur as a result of non-observance of the present conditions.

4. Do not indulge in any kind of uncivilized/rowdy or unprofessional behavior with the Artist.

5. Do not insist on performance of any act from the Artist which is immoral, obscene, vulgaror affects the national security of India.
